TouchBistro, a POS (point-of-sale) system for the restaurant industry, recently attained recognition for its growth and overall entrepreneurial approach in the form of a 2017 Technology Fast 50 program award from New York’s Deloitte LLP.
Presented yearly to top Canadian companies, Fast 50 status highlights those technology businesses exhibiting the greatest growth in the past four years. With substantial revenue growth of 838 percent between 2013 and 2016, TouchBistro scored 27th out of 50.
“Since the initial design of TouchBistro, we have focused on the unique work flows of a restaurant and built the app from the bottom up to help restaurateurs increase efficiency and their bottom line,” TouchBistro CEO Alex Barrotti said, adding that the resulting application is “remarkably intuitive” and easy to use at any restaurant establishment.
Barrotti pinpointed the company’s key growth impetus as its specific focus on the restaurant sector in combination with a strong customer service ethic. To arrive at its iPad-based application’s current iteration, he said, his team solicited input from thousands of industry stakeholders to guarantee that TouchBistro’s app is a sustainable option.
“The solution we have developed and continue to enhance effectively works as the hub of a restaurant’s operations, improves the customer experience, and increases table turns,” Barrotti said.
In addition to Denver, the Toronto-based firm has offices in New York City, Austin, Texas and elsewhere.
