Extending merchants the ability to manage commercial transactions to their best advantage, AEVI and Vantiv recently revealed plans to launch a joint marketplace platform in specific U.S. market areas in early 2018.
Describing the collaboration as an “ecosystem,” AEVI director Mike Camerling expressed enthusiasm for the project, a first in open marketplace solutions relying on diverse third-party platforms that also providing the latest in security features.
"We are very excited to partner with Vantiv, the largest merchant acquirer in the U.S., launching our open ecosystem for the North American market," Camerling said. “By enabling third-party devices, we can initiate a new era of payments and business services in the U.S., based on even more choice and flexibility."
SmartPay Series will permit Vantiv clients to transform payments at point of sale by customizing checkout, payroll, incentive programs and more. AEVI will continue to provide business apps and services through individualized local markets.
"By offering more choice through an open application platform, we can drive a simpler smart terminal solution to help our partners and merchants win in the market … placing our partners and merchants ahead of the curve," Vantiv product SVP Scott DeAngelo said.
